How long can I burn my candle for? Our candles all have a total burn time of 50-60 hours. We highly recommend that you burn your candle for no longer than 4 hours at a time. This will make your candle burn better and last longer.
On your first burn, please burn for at least 2 hours. Ensure you allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container to prevent "tunneling."
Are your candles eco-friendly? Each scented candle is vegan, completely natural, and non-toxic. They contain no lead, plastics, parabens, synthetic dyes, or phthalates.
What packaging do you use? As of now, candles are shipped in hard cardboard boxes. The packaging is 100% recyclable.
How do I properly maintain and use my candle? ON FIRST BURN: When lighting your candle for the first time, trim the wick to 1/4 of an inch. Burn for at least 2 hours until the top of the wax has melted completely to prevent “tunneling”
TRIM YOUR WICK: Always trim your wick to 1/5 of an inch before each use (use your nails, wick trimmer, or a nail clipper).
DO NOT OVERUSE YOUR CANDLE: Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time and never burn a candle all the way through. Discontinue candle use when there is 1/2 an inch of wax remaining. Wash the jar, and re-use or recycle.
Why does my candle surface look funny? Soy wax is more sensitive to different environments compared to other wax types. As we use 100% natural soy wax, you may see any of the following occur. It is important to note, there is nothing wrong with your candle and all of these reactions are completely natural. They do not affect candle usage or performance in any way.
FROSTING: Sometimes our candles can have a slight frost over the surface. This occurs as the wax is trying to return back to its natural form and as a result, begins to crystallize.
SWEATING: If you see small beads or oil build up on top of your candle, your candle may be sweating. Soy wax is sensitive to extreme temperature changes, causing natural oils to separate from the wax.
BUMPY, ROUGH SURFACE: This occurs when the candle cools and solidifies at an inconsistent rate. It may smoothen out again after the next burn.
If you want to avoid these reactions, we recommend that you keep your candles away from drafts and direct sunlight, and out of rooms that vary in temperature. We also recommend that you burn your candle for no longer than 4 hours at a time.
